Yurts in Cyprus
On the lookout for a cozy, peaceful yet sportive and romantic getaway? If yes, you’re in the right place. Spreading over 2.5 acres in Annadiou village, Yurts in Cyprus provides a perfect escape into nature while giving you an insight into the oriental way of life of centuries ago. After all, it’s all in the name… yurts.
The facility comprises of 4 units, Nasu, Engke, Kadan, and The Straw House, which boast a generous living space and plenty of headroom, so those of you who are more vertically-challenged need not worry, you’ve got 2.5m headroom at the crown wheel.
Built in Mongolia, following traditional construction methods, these wonderful dwellings are eco-friendly and observe all the workforce and environmental regulations in force.
In summer, the yurts provide a cool and refreshing escape from the burning heat of the Cyprus sun. With the door open and the crown wheel off, the yurt acts as a flue creating constant draught. Who needs airconditioning, after all?!
But, this is not all. Yurts in Cyprus is a perfect place to go to in the cold season as well. Each yurt is equipped with a wood burner to keep you warm in cooler months, giving a romantic feel to your stay.
As always safety comes first, so each yurt has a fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Although situated in the hilly region of Cyprus, remote from the hectic, noisy cities, there are plenty of things to keep you busy in the area. Only 3km to the south, there’s Simou village where you can find traditional tavernas, cafes and a Halloumi (traditional cheese delicatesse) ‘factory’. 3km to the north, in Filousa village, where you can enjoy a wonderful pastime and learn more about local customs.
For sports lovers, there are golf courses in the area nearby. If you prefer water sports, Latchi Harbour is only a stone-throw away. You can also take a trip to the wineries and monasteries in the countryside, cycle, stargaze and a lot more.

Taking its name from the Mongolian word for cliff (qadan), this yurt is in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature. It is the missing piece in the puzzle coming to complete a wonderful picture.
The mystery behind the name is given by the gorge right below the yurt and the small stream that floods it after the rainfall, enlivening the place with its relaxing murmur. So, if you’re looking for a romantic, rocky setting, Qadan is the perfect choice.
Measuring 5 metres in diameter, 20 square metres floor space and 2.3 metres headroom, the yurt is fully fitted with a King Size bed, wood burner to keep you warm in winter, dressing table with mirror and drawers for your lotions and potions, wood chairs and table where you can enjoy a drink or keep your laptop (if you need to take work along with you). You have all the facilities you can enjoy in a 5* hotel in the middle of nature – Wi-Fi connection and a Bluetooth speaker are readily available for you.
Private composting toilet is right by the yurt and shower by The Straw House.
