Every day the internet is getting increasingly cluttered. More and more snippets of information are added every day.
Platforms, like Google, Bing, Instagram or Facebook, are at the core of finding information. But these platforms need to be properly 'fed' with a continuous stream of fresh content, experiences and elaborate information about what to do, where to go, where to stay and what to visit. This information needs to be made available in a way that 'ticks all the boxes' for it to be indexed properly.
With the abundance of cluttered information on the internet, it becomes more and more difficult for visitors to quickly find trustworthy and to-the-point information, information you can build your travel itineraries on.
It is even harder for the upcoming tourism destinations to create their place in the internet. Imagine the difficulties small websites encounter to become visible, to ‘make it out there on their own’.
The individual components of TripMarbles are not new; there are other platforms providing travellers with information about Bars, Restaurants, Events, Activities, Travel stories and/or Hospitality but not many provide it as comprehensive as TripMarbles.
Contrary to most of these sites, we are taking a global approach to local information, are not driven by Online Booking software and do not pollute our site with third party online advertisement.
In other words, using TripMarbles visitors do not 'pay' with their own information, their search history [cookies] or by clicking on third-party ads, taking them away to the competition or other websites.
TripMarbles provides equal opportunity for all subscribers, regardless of the size of the Bar, Restaurant, Event, Activity or Hospitality provider.
We focus on upcoming tourism markets in particular. For most of these places there is not yet an abundance of coordinated information available but the potential of these countries is enormous now that the cost of travel is dropping more and more.
These upcoming destinations slowly shift from mainly high-end business travellers to the 'normal' travellers, people with a willingness to venture to places less known. They need concise information, they want to see what a place has to offer, read first-hand experiences etc. We need to give them a reason why they would spend their money somewhere.
We, at TripMarbles, think it is time to focus more on this new way of travelling, taking tourism information to the next level…
